Brookfield Properties is developing an entire city block site in DTLA as a creative office and mixed-use destination with 1.8 million square feet of commercial office, fashion mart, retail, and amenity space. The mixed-use complex, California Market Center (CMC), will be reinvented to appeal to the rising influx of technology, entertainment, media, food, and beverage industries heading to Downtown LA. Situated on the corner of 9th & Main Streets in the heart of the Fashion District, the new CMC will build on an incredible legacy of passion and collaboration as it welcomes the next century’s creative visionaries. The project will host 13 floors across three buildings with large floor plates connected by exterior bridges overlooking an interior street and public plaza. Buildings A and B will support primarily creative office tenants, while Building C will host legacy and new fashion tenants and showrooms. Amenities include a rooftop deck, fitness offerings, and an extensive retail merchandising plan with office support services, personal and wellness services. It will also have several F&B offerings, including a Food Hall, a boutique neighborhood market, and a full-service restaurant. CMC is located near Metro and bus public transit options and provides on-site valet parking in its 3‑level parking garage.
California Market Center has stood as a historic cornerstone of Downtown LA for over 50 years. Since 1963, forward-thinking entrepreneurs have flocked to its iconic presence within the Fashion District, solidifying its place within the Los Angeles creative landscape.
